Is Mau P the new global hit maker?

From the "Drugs From Amsterdam" debut to number 55 in the DJ Mag Top 100, by way of Pacha and a label of his own. The numbers behind the rise.

Is Mau P the new global hit maker?

Four years ago Mau P released his first track under that name. Today he has 5.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, a residency at Pacha Ibiza, a freshly announced label and the biggest jump of the year in the world's best-known DJ poll. Only one question is going round the clubs: is he the new global hit maker?

The hits

It all starts on 19 August 2022 with "Drugs From Amsterdam": number 1 on Beatport's main chart and, as of October 2026, more than 277 million streams on Spotify. For most artists, a debut like that would be the peak of a career.

Not for him. Next come "Metro" with Kevin de Vries (2023), "MERTHER" on Defected (2024, close to 50 million streams) and, in 2025, "The Less I Know The Better" on Nervous: number 1 on Billboard's US Dance Airplay chart and more than 88 million streams.

"Just A Little Bit More"

On 4 September 2026 "Just A Little Bit More" came out on Interscope, his second single of the year after "neck" (Black Book, February). Beatportal billed it as a much-requested summer ID. Now it's out.

Baddest Behaviour: from party to label

Baddest Behaviour started as a party series across New York, Miami, Denver and Los Angeles. In summer 2025 it debuted at Pacha Ibiza, and in 2026 it came back for a second season: every Wednesday from 5 August to 7 October, 11pm to 6am.

On 9 October 2026 came the next step: Baddest Behaviour is now a record label. Its first artists and releases have not been announced yet.

DJ Mag Top 100: +22

In DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs 2026, announced on 6 October at [UNVRS] Ibiza, Mau P is number 55, twenty-two places higher than last year. He is the edition's joint Highest Climber, alongside John Summit and Chris Stassy. The trajectory speaks for itself: 91 in 2024, 77 in 2025, 55 in 2026.
