What a year for Joseph Capriati

For Amnesia, 2026 is the fiftieth-anniversary year. For Joseph Capriati it is the year he opened and closed the club's season, took Metamorfosi to Barcelona and brought it back home to Ibiza. Four moments, in order.

May: the first sunrise of the season

On Saturday 9 May Amnesia opens its fiftieth season. At sunrise on the Terrace, Capriati plays back to back with Josh Baker: according to Wololosound, the first time the pair have played together. Among the closing classics comes Bob Sinclar's "I Feel For You". Wololosound describes a mask with Capriati's face during the final track and an ending in tears, and Amnesia wrote that the crowd's reaction moved him.

June: Metamorfosi in Barcelona

On Saturday 20 June, during Sónar Week, Metamorfosi lands at Parc del Fòrum, from 2pm to 11pm. It is the third Barcelona edition, with Jamie Jones, Max Dean, Luke Dean, Sidney Charles and Vanee on the line-up.

Summer: fourteen Tuesdays at Amnesia

Metamorfosi was born at Amnesia in 2022, with three dates. In 2025 it moved to Hï. In 2026 it comes back home: fourteen Tuesdays, from 30 June to 29 September. On the last night of the residency Capriati goes back to back with Jamie Jones and Chris Stussy, and Ibiza Spotlight reports the longest queue its writer had seen in five summers.

October: the last sunrise

On Saturday 10 October, at the fiftieth-anniversary closing, Capriati plays a solo sunset set in the open-air, then returns at sunrise with Josh Baker, just like at the opening. According to Periódico de Ibiza, Space founder Pepe Roselló and Valentino Rossi also joined him in the booth. Capriati's season ends where it began: at sunrise, with Josh Baker.
